NIGMS funds three new systems biology centers

December 3, 2013

The National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) announced last week it will fund three new national centers for systems biology.

The new centers will be led by Jef D. Boeke at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; James E. Ferrell and Tobias Meyer at Stanford University School of Medicine; and Ron Weiss at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This brings the total number of NIGMS-funded P50 systems biology centers to 17. Find out what the new centers will focus on in the NIH press release here.
