November 12, 2012

On November 7, 2012 Center members participated in a graduate school symposium at Prairie View A&M University in Texas that was organized by Kate Spohr (UC Berkeley), Veronica Zepeda (UCSF) and Felecia Nave (Prairie View A&M).

The symposium featured speakers and panelists from six universities across the country and was titled "What You Can Be With a Ph.D.: Navigating Interdisciplinary Research In Engineering and Life Sciences." Speakers addressed the rational for getting a PhD and provided information on graduate programs and admissions. The symposium also featured two scientific talks on current research in synthetic biology.
