Center hosts 'Science and Cooking' lecture on April 2, 2012

The UCSF center for systems and synthetic biology will host the Chauncey D. Leake lecture on ‘Science and Cooking,’ featuring Professor David Weitz of Harvard University, and James Beard Award winner Corey Lee, chef and owner of Benu restaurant,

on Monday, April 2, at 4pm in Genentech Hall (Byers) Auditorium. Weitz and Lee will discuss the parallel science behind modern cooking and bioscience, and include demos of some typical and unusual emulsions and gels. The 2012 Chauncey D. Leake Lecture is co-sponsored by the UCSF Departments of Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology and Anesthesia. Check out the UCSF YouTube video here.
